I've been wanting to do the Camino for a while now. I know someone here in town that has done it at least twice and I'm planning to contact her soon and talk more about it. I did get the book that you mentioned in your last post and plan to read it on my upcoming vacation. I like the idea of the French route but had considered the Portuguese route since it's not as long. I think you've done more investigating than I have at this point!

I don't think I'd ever want to do a hike alone. But I have always wanted to do something like that. I used to love camping and hiking back in the day. My health has decided otherwise but I think I'd still do one if the opportunity presented itself. Where does one stay at night during these hikes? Camping? Hotels? I'm curious about that one. Maybe one day I can do a smaller one with my son. I've been to Spain once, at a layover on the way to our deployment to Kuwait. Wish I could have stayed much longer and it's a place I'd love to return to.
