So sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved Jenny. It's so hard to let go of our furry family members.

I completely understand where you are coming from and I teared up just reading your post. Our Shepard mix Leia is going on 15 and we are terrified of the day that she leaves us. She is better people than most people as it sounds like your Jenny was. Our thoughts are with you.

And the memories will last forever. We still talk about our first golden that was loved just as dearly as Jenny. Thanks, Myra, for the sweet thoughts.

My condolences! It never gets easier. I just lost a rescue last month. Chimaumau. A handsome social cat from New Orleans who had unusual orange fur. Alopichia (excuse spelling) or long haired sphinx mix? I barely had him a year and he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was barely home in Niagara (Canadian side) amd he passed. He purred loudly and let out a big sigh just as he passed. Had the vet and vet techs not been in the room, I would have thought I imagined it. At least I got to enjoy him. Briefly and send him off properly. I’m glad I took him with me. I have other rescues to help. It still hurts. those pics of Jenny are great! No doubt she had a great life with your family. She looks so well loved.

Awww, Laura, I'm so sorry about Chimaumau. But I love the description of how she purred and sighed. I take that as she was happy, comfortable, loved, and at peace as she entered the afterlife.

Thank you for sharing! And for the condolences.
