Unfortunately, I agree with you that we just have to step away from it from time to time, that it's difficult to see America's fast-paced culture ever changing.
I do think, though, we can shift our overall mindset in small ways every time we step away, and eventually, those small shifts will add up. I know that when people at home ask me about my favorite aspects of Italy, I struggle to explain to them just how much I love the slower-paced culture and the Italians' way of life. I believe ANYONE can travel, but not everyone does so to learn how to live a little bit differently. I know and love that you can relate to me. We should really talk soon! Hope you are well, Suzanne.
